Yesterday I went to visit fantastic children’s wear company Grubbies at the Bubble children’s trade show in London. I was very excited to be getting my first glimpse of the new kerchiefs they asked me to design for next season. The last time I saw the designs was on my computer screen just before I hit send and now they are real! Here is a sneak peek:
Grubbies’ autumn/winter 2013 range features some rather special furry-on-the-inside dungerees as well as the two new kerchiefs Owl and Toadstools. I had a lot of fun designing these ones as they are based on woodland scenes (my favourite) with a lovely strong red and a mustard yellow as base colours.
Hey, there’s my little man Jody wrecking the Grubbie’s Bubble stand! Marion, the Kerchief you designed for Grubbies – the woodland one with the boy and the dog and the owl was by far my favourite product at the whole show. Literally, I took a sharp intake of breath when I saw it. Super talented. Glad to have had a chat and to have found your blog. x
Wow, thanks so much Louise! I’m really proud of the scarves, Grubbies have done a super job with them. It was lovely to meet you and Jody too, I hope he can wait til Autumn for the Owl scarf to hit the shops!x
…patiently waiting as we speak 😉
