My new fishy children’s kerchiefs are now on sale! You can find them in various children’s clothing outlets across the country but probably most easily in the Grubbies shop. The scarves were designed for Grubbies’ spring/summer collection and sport many little critters such as seahorses, mackerel, flat fish and lugworms. Go on, love a lugworm!
Yesterday I went to visit fantastic children’s wear company Grubbies at the Bubble children’s trade show in London. I was very excited to be getting my first glimpse of the new kerchiefs they asked me to design for next season. The last time I saw the designs was on my computer screen just before I hit send and now they are real! Here is a sneak peek:
Grubbies’ autumn/winter 2013 range features some rather special furry-on-the-inside dungerees as well as the two new kerchiefs Owl and Toadstools. I had a lot of fun designing these ones as they are based on woodland scenes (my favourite) with a lovely strong red and a mustard yellow as base colours.
Grubbies is a rather fantastic new children’s wear company whose very first range of clothing I am proud to say features some Marion drawing! The minds behind the dungerees asked me to design two kerchiefs for their very first season and I was most happy to oblige. We worked away on ideas based around a wild west theme and came up with “Coyote” and Wild Horses”.
I am terribly proud of them and have been enjoying wearing them far too much….
Grubbies are great, if you’d like to know a bit more about them or buy some scarves or tiny dungerees then check out their website where you can do all those things: www.grubbies.co.uk
