My name is Marion Lindsay and I am a children’s book illustrator and designer who makes pictures with ink, pencils and a computer. I often use a mishmash of techniques to create my illustrations and patterns and I really like making up characters whether they be human, animal or somewhere in between.
In 2010 I graduated from an MA in children’s book illustration at Cambridge School of Art and since then I have illustrated lots of children’s books including several chapter book series: Zoey and Sassafras by Asia Citro, Maisie Hitchins by Holly Webb and Bella Donna by Ruth Symes. I also design patterns for children’s wear and the greetings industry.
I regularly hold children’s drawing and collage workshops in collaboration with Cambridgeshire libraries and I love passing on my enthusiasm about art, illustration and books as well as seeing the wonderful images and ideas the children come up with.
